Underemployment

In 2006, The Pathfinders of Dallas, Texas conducted a study of the underemployed in the Central South Carolina regional labor shed. The survey area included Newberry, Calhoun, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Orangeburg, Richland, and Saluda Counties in South Carolina.

To be counted as underemployed for this report, an individual must be currently employed and willing to take another job at a pay rate commensurate with personal skills, education, and experience.
